A Wealth Of Knowledge
Seminars And Workshops For Groups And Organizations

Since more and more responsibility for retirement planning has shifted to employees, we find a need exists for financial education.  The advent of stock-based compensation, cash balance pension plans, and employee stock ownership plans reinforces that need.

Polaris believes that helping people learn how to best manage these resources is just good, sensible business.  Our educational seminars are written and presented to small groups of 5 to 25 people, on an as-needed basis.  A typical seminar addresses a particular topic that affects the group; such as the choices contained in selecting a payout from a pension plan or understanding long-term care insurance.

Polaris serves groups with an affinity to a single organization, customizing the seminar to their specific circumstances.  Regardless of sponsorship, we provide a positive and helpful workshop, free of sales pitches. Seminars can run from 45 minutes to a couple of hours, and can include individual one-on-one counseling, such as tax planning for retirees.

Sponsored Workshops. If your organization is interested in enhancing the membership’s understanding of their employee benefits and financial responsibilities, we would be happy to help.  Together, we'll design a seminar to cover employee material that needs clarification, in a manner consistent with your mission statement.   Polaris sets up the slides and workbooks for your approval and delivers the workshop to you.

Independent Workshops.  If your organization is unwilling or uninterested in sponsoring a workshop, we will gladly work with your group independently to design and deliver a workshop.  Together, we research and obtain the necessary documentation and information on the subjects of interest.  We prepare the workshop and secure a room at a nearby hotel or restaurant for presentation.

Disclosure And Conflict Of Interest. Although Polaris is available to workshop attendees for private engagement, workshops focus exclusively on covering participant issues in a balanced and complete fashion.  We do not present sales pitches or make unwanted follow-up calls. For organizations concerned about liability for an implied endorsement, appropriate disclosure documentation is available.
